CLINTON, Miss. - After hosting two early-season exhibition matches at home, Mississippi Brilla will host the Laredo Heat in what will be the Mississippi team’s PDL season home-opener on Thursday night at 7 p.m. CT at Clinton High School.
The two teams have become familiar with each already on the young season as Brilla was in Laredo for matches on May 23 & 25, both of which ended in draws (0-0 and 2-2, respectively).
Both teams are looking for an edge in the standings, as they both look to close the gap to Mid South Division-leading Midland Odessa Sockers FC. Laredo is coming off a 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Sockers this past weekend, and will be looking to rebound strongly in Mississippi.
Thursday night will be “Dollar Night” as all tickets will cost only $1. Additionally, the concessions menu will feature several items that will be only $1, including hot dogs, popcorn, candy, nachos, and bottled water.
The teams will turn around and play again Saturday night at Clinton High School at 7 p.m. CT.
