The 2016 PDL National Semifinals are set, and both matchups will kick off on Saturday.
The Ocean City Nor'easters will host Calgary Foothills FC at 5 p.m. ET from the Tennessee Avenue Soccer Complex, while the Michigan Bucks play Midland/Odessa Sockers FC at 7:30 p.m. ET from the Ultimate Soccer Arenas.
The Bucks, winners of the 2014 PDL Championship, were crowned champions of the Central Conference after defeating the Thunder Bay Chill, 3-0, and the Des Moines Menace, 2-0. Sockers FC topped The Villages SC, 2-1, before defeating the OKC Energy U23, 2-1, in penalty kicks after a 0-0 tie.
Foothills FC and the Nor'easters both participated in the play-in round of the 2016 PDL Playoffs. The Canadian club beat the Sounders FC U23, 3-1. Foothills FC then beat FC Golden State Force, 1-0, before winning the Western title with a 2-1 result against FC Tucson. The Nor'easters defeated the GPS Portland Phoenix, 3-1, in the play-in game before topping the Charlotte Eagles, 1-0, and Reading United AC, 4-1.
