Peachtree City MOBA, based in Peachtree City, Georgia, unveiled plans to create the MOBA Soccer Academy Youth Program, which will serve to help the development of local players.
The club will create Boys' and Girls' Youth Teams for the Under-16, U17 and U18/19 age groups, with the teams serving as stepping-stones on MOBA's developmental path to the collegiate and professional levels.
“We are very excited about the addition of our own youth teams at the MOBA Soccer Academy,” Peachtree City MOBA Owner Volker Harms said in a release. “We will create new teams to compete in the state league and help open up career paths for our youth soccer players. Our focus will be on getting players equipped for college soccer and possibly a professional soccer career. These players will also provide us with a homegrown player pool feeding into our current adult teams, including the men’s PDL team Peachtree City MOBA. We are planning to train these young men and women in a world-class environment where they can develop to their maximum potential, and at the same time create a real club atmosphere, where soccer is a way of life.”
Peachtree City MOBA is set to compete in its second Premier Development League season. The club, which plays in the South Atlantic Division, is led by Head Coach Jordan Davis.
