It was another banner week for Premier Development League players in NCAA DI college soccer, with eight players named to TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week.
North Carolina FC U23 goalkeeper William Pulisic led the charge by recording a pair of clean-sheets in Duke's John Rennie Nike Invitational matches against UCF and Fordham, earning two wins for his collegiate team.
Also honored are Des Moines Menace forward Elvir Ibisevic, who recorded the second-fastest hat-trick in DI soccer history in just over 10 minutes of University of Nebraska Omaha's 5-1 win over Virginia Tech, Portland Timbers U23 forward Benji Michel, who slammed in four goals for the University of Portland in the team's two wins this week over UNLV and Fairfield, and FC Tucson defender Giovanny Vazquez, who not only recorded a shutout in Utah Valley's 1-0 victory over Akron, but scored the game-winning goal as well.
Also noted as honorable mentions are No. 10 PDL Top Prospect Julio Moncada of the Oklahoma City Energy U23 with UNC Wimington, Chicago FC United's Jeff Farina with Notre Dame, and No. 2 PDL Top Prospect Jon Bakero of the Carolina Dynamo with Wake Forest.
