Premier Development League players shined once again this week in NCAA DI college soccer, with six players named to TopDrawerSoccer’s National Team of the Week.
Leading the charge is OKC Energy U23 forward Garrett McLaughlin, who knocked in two game-winners for SMU this week, the first in a 4-0 win over Loyola and the second in a narrow 1-0 win over Brown. McLaughlin was also named TopDrawerSoccer Men’s Player of the Week.
Also honored is Wilmington Hammerheads FC midfielder Cam Lindley, who recorded four assists on five North Carolina goals in two matches, earning additional honors as a PDL Top Five Performer in college soccer this week.
Joining them are four additional honorees, including Nashville SC U23 defender Tanner Dieterich, who helped record a shutout for Clemson while scoring the lone goal in a 1-0 win over Boston College. AC Connecticut forward Edward Opoku knocked in two goals in Virginia’s 2-1 rivalry win over Virginia Tech, while GPS Portland Phoenix forward Emmanuel Twumasi knocked in three goals this week for Wake Forest in two wins.
