Eagles' Omondi shines with two goals for John Brown in big win

On a quiet day in college soccer, the PDL players who were in action made a great impact for their respective teams.

In NAIA action, Charlotte Eagles midfielders Kelvin Omondi and Ryan Williams shined for John Brown as they coasted to a 4-1 win over Texas A&M- Texarkana. Omondi finished off two goals for the Golden Eagles, while Williams scored one of his own and assisted another.

In NCAA DII play, Sounders FC U23 midfielder Adam Jones scored the lone goal for Simon Fraser in a 1-1 draw with Seattle Pacific while playing 109 minutes. Calgary Foothills FC midfielder Kyle Jones also played and went 100 minutes in the draw.

Finally, Fresno Fuego midfielder Joey Chica started for Cal Baptist as the team took down Hawaii-Hilo by a 4-0 scoreline.

THURSDAY

NCAA DII

Joey Chica started and played 86 minutes in Cal Baptist's 4-0 win vs. Hawaii-Hilo.

Adam Jones started, played 109 minutes and provided ONE GOAL in Simon Fraser's 1-1 draw vs. Seattle Pacific.

Kyle Jones started and played 100 minutes in Simon Fraser's 1-1 draw vs. Seattle Pacific.

NAIA

Kelvin Omondi started, played 90 minutes and provided TWO GOALS in John Brown's 4-1 win vs. Texas A&M- Texarkana.

Ryan Williams started, played 90 minutes and provided ONE GOAL and ONE ASSIST in John Brown's 4-1 win vs. Texas A&M- Texarkana.
