It was another week of strong productivity from PDL players across the college soccer landscape this week.

Leading the charge was FC Tucson forward Daniel Musovski, who had a stellar performance in UNLV's big win over Oral Roberts this weekend.

Also performing well was fellow FC Tucson teammate Tate Schmitt, as the No. 6 PDL Top Prospect put on a show in two matches with Louisville over the past week.

The Villages SC midfielder Gabriel Torres and FA Euro midfielder Charlie Ledula added some NCAA DII flair to the week, with both contributing in big ways to their respective collegiate teams.

Finally, No. 5 PDL Top Prospect and SIMA Aguilas forward Diego Campos put up solid numbers in a pair of wins for the Clemson Tigers.

TOP FIVE PERFORMERS

Daniel Musovski - UNLV - FC Tucson

When it comes to productivity, nobody had a better week than FC Tucson and UNLV forward Daniel Musovski.

Musovski was the stand-out performer in UNLV’s 5-1 victory over Oral Roberts on Sunday, Sept. 24. The highly-productive forward was involved in all five of the Rebels’ goals, scoring four of them himself an assisting on a fifth before Oral Roberts could tack on a consolation goal. It was a match of dominance for UNLV, who recorded 31 shots to Oral Roberts’ nine, and Musovski was at the front line for a full third of those 31 shots.

Tate Schmitt - Louisville - FC Tucson

PDL Player to Watch and No. 6 PDL Top Prospect Tate Schmitt also had a highly productive week for the Louisville Cardinals.

Musovski’s FC Tucson teammate first contributed this week with an assist on the game-winning goal in Louisville’s 3-0 win over IUPUI. Schmitt then had a breakout performance in the Cardinals’ 4-0 win over ACC opponent Boston College, knocking in the opening game-winner, assisting the second insurance goal, and scoring the final tally of the match himself.

Gabriel Torres - University of D.C. - The Villages SC

There may not be anyone hotter in college soccer than University of D.C. and The Villages SC midfielder Gabriel Torres.

The University of D.C. Firebirds tallied two wins on the week, both by a 4-1 score over Holy Family on Wednesday and then St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, and Torres produced big-time in both. In Wednesday’s win, Torres scored twice and assisted once for the Firebirds, with his two goals securing the win. He followed that up with a stunning hat-trick on Saturday to lead the team to another win over St. Thomas Aquinas, bringing his totals to five goals and one assist on the week.

Diego Campos - Clemson - SIMA Aguilas

SIMA Aguilas forward and No. 5 overall PDL Top Prospect Diego Campos had a big week for Clemson amid two victories for the Tigers.

First, Campos recorded his third goal of the season on a third-minute penalty to secure a win for Clemson over UCLA on Tuesday, after which he assisted a second insurance goal. He provided the exact same statistics in the Tigers’ 3-0 win over ACC opponent Pittsburgh, scoring the game-winner in the 32nd minute before adding an assist in the second half.

Charlie Ledula - LIU Post- FA Euro

LIU Post played just once this week, but when they did take the field it was accompanied by an impressive performance from FA Euro midfielder Charlie Ledula.

Ledula shined in the Pioneers’ lone match of the week, which came in the form of a 3-0 victory over Daemen College. The productive midfielder knocked in two goals, one of which was assisted by fellow PDL teammate Harry Pearse of the Jersey Express. Ledula scored the opener just three minutes into the match as he finished off a long throw that was misplayed by a Daemen defender, his second came minutes into the second half on the end of a cross from Pearse.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

Jon Bakero - Wake Forest - Carolina Dynamo

Two PDL players stood out for Wake Forest in a pair of wins this week, with Carolina Dynamo forward Jon Bakero leading the way.

In the Demon Deacons’ Tuesday win over High Point, Bakero scored the game-winning goal in the 105th minute for to escape with an overtime victory. Bakero was active once again in Saturday’s 3-0 win over North Carolina State, but this time in setting-up his teammates for success. He assisted fellow Dynamo Luis Argudo’s game-winner in the 58th minute before assisting another goal in the 65th to add some insurance for Wake Forest.

Luis Argudo - Wake Forest - Carolina Dynamo

The second Wake Forest and Carolina Dynamo player on this week’s list, Luis Argudo put in a strong performance as well for the Demon Deacons.

While he found himself unable to score or assist in Wake Forest’s 1-0 win over High Point, with teammate Jon Bakero playing the hero, Argudo more than made up for it in Saturday’s win over North Carolina State. Argudo scored the opening game-winner in the 58th minute, and tallied a second in the 65th minute, just 20 seconds after Steven Echevarria made it 2-0 for the Demon Deacons.

J.J. Williams - Kentucky - Reading United AC

In a dominant Kentucky victory, Reading United AC’s J.J. Williams stood out.

As the Wildcats took down Florida Atlantic by a 4-0 score, Williams scored the game-winner in the 32nd minute before assisting on two insurance goals in the second half. The first-half tally was Williams second goal of the season and sealed the result for Kentucky.
