A single match featuring PDL Players to Watch graces the Monday slate after a hectic weekend, and it’s an all-teammate affair.
The New York Red Bulls U23 will surely be keeping a close eye on the action Monday afternoon when the Georgetown Hoyas take on the Duke Blue Devils in non-conference play. Aside from being a compelling top-25 match-up between the No. 10-ranked Hoyas and No. 19-ranked Blue Devils, all four PDL players competing in the match were part of the Red Bulls U23 2017 squad.
Leading the Blue Devils are Red Bulls U23 forward Brian White and defender Markus Fjortoft. Under their stewardship, Duke has sailed to a 9-2-1 record this season, staying competitive in the always difficult ACC. They’ll try to make it three straight wins with a victory on Monday.
The Hoyas are fronted by Red Bulls U23 midfielder Christopher Lema and forward Zachary Knudson. The two have combined to lead Georgetown to an 8-1-1 record to start the 2017 campaign, including a 3-1-0 conference record. The Hoyas have won four straight, including a statement win last time out against Butler, and seek to make another statement against Duke.
The four PDL players all compete in the lone match on Monday’s slate.
