It was a happy first day of November for a number of PDL players who contributed to their teams' success on Wednesday.

Three in particular got on the score-sheet themselves, putting goals into the back of the net. In Virginia's 4-0 trouncing of Boston College, AC Connecticut forward Edward Opoku recorded one of the team's four efforts, continuing his strong season for the Cavaliers. Elsewhere, Tampa Bay Rowdies U23 forward Ricky Lopez-Espin put in Creighton's lone goal of the night in a losing effort against Georgetown, while SIMA Aguilas midfielder Rafael Santos scored VCU's goal in a loss against St. Bonaventure.

A quadruplet of PDL players also helped their team out with assists. Lopez-Espin's Creighton teammates Des Moines Menace defender Lucas Stauffer and Lane United FC midfielder Joel Rydstrand each picked up an assist on the former's goal. On the other side of the field, New York Red Bull U23 midfielder Christopher Lema picked up an assist on one of three Georgetown goals to match. Elsewhere, Fresno Fuego defender Sergi Nus assisted one of the four Virginia goals on the night.

Finally, it was a nice night in goal for Virginia's keeper, Colorado Rapids U23's Jefferson Caldwell, who kept a clean sheet in the 4-0 victory.
