With the weekend's action concluded, the champions of each conference in NCAA DI have been determined.
Leading the charge in one of the most exciting matches on Sunday were Michigan Bucks midfielder Brad Dunwell, GPS Portland Phoenix midfielder Emmanuel Twumasi, Carolina Dynamo forward Jon Bakero and Wake Forest, as they outlasted Virginia in a shootout to claim the ACC championship. They weren't the only ones to survive penalties, as Chicago FC United forwards Thomas Barlow and Chris Mueller and Wisconsin took down unbeaten Indiana in the Big Ten finale. Shootout victories were also on the cards for Sounders FC U23 defender Conner Antley, Sounders FC U23 forward William Bagrou and Mercer as they won the Southern Conference crown, and Des Moines Menace forward Elvir Ibisevic and Omaha as they claimed the Summit League title.
In slightly less dramatic fashion, another handful of PDL Players to Watch claimed titles. FC Tucson forward Afonso Pinheiro and Albany took down UMass Lowell in double-overtime to win the America East Conference. New York Red Bull U23 midfielder Christopher Lema and forward Zachary Knudson helped Georgetown knock off Xavier in overtime for the Big East title. Texas United defender Joseph Korb helped Akron win the Mid-American Conference in regulation. Finally, Reading United AC forward Frantzdy Pierrot helped Coastal Carolina claim the Sun Belt crown.
Here's a look at all the conference winners across DI.
