The 2017 Premier Development League regular season is finally here, which means many talented Under-23 players are set to compete across North America. Before the games begin, we have highlighted 50 players in the league to look out for this summer.

Calgary Foothills FC forward Dominic Russo, who earned PDL All-Western Conference Team honors in 2016, is among the players named.

While the first edition of the 2017 PDL Top Prospects list will not be released for another two weeks. The PDL Players to Watch list was created using the help of the USL Scouting Network and PDL staff.

With 72 teams across North America ready to play, the 2017 PDL regular season kicks off on Friday with Calgary Foothills FC hosting TSS FC Rovers in a Northwest Division battle at 9 p.m. ET (Watch Live). The Fresno Fuego host Burlingame Dragons FC in Week 1's PDL Game of the Week at 10:30 p.m. ET on Saturday (Watch Live).
