TAMPA, Fla. – Colorado Rapids U23 forward Jaret Townsend has been voted Premier Development League Player of the Week after recording three goals and three assists during Week 10 of the regular season.
Townsend netted two goals to lead the Rapids U23 to a 3-1 win against the BYU Cougars on Thursday. The University of Washington standout then netted one goal and provided three assists in a 5-1 victory against Albuquerque Sol F.C. on Saturday.
GK – Zeus de la Paz, Cincinnati Dutch Lions: The Curaçao international recorded two shutouts during Week 10, making five saves against the Dayton Dutch Lions on July 3 before making eight saves against the Michigan Bucks on Saturday.
D – Alexi Souahy, Michigan Bucks: The Bowling Green State University talent provided the game-winning assist in the Bucks’ 3-2 win against Great Lakes Division contender K-W United FC on July 5. He then played all 90 minutes in the Bucks’ 0-0 tie vs. the Cincinnati Dutch Lions, helping the team record its eighth shutout of the campaign.
D – Evan Finnegan, Reading United AC: The Monroe College standout provided an assist in Reading United’s 2-0 win against Lehigh Valley United on July 5. He then provided another assist in a 5-0 victory against the Jersey Express on Saturday.
D – Jacob VanCompernolle, OKC Energy U23: The University of North Carolina at Wilmington product scored a goal while helping the Energy U23 record its fourth shutout of the 2017 campaign.
M – Jad Arslan, South Georgia Tormenta FC: The West Virginia University standout scored a hat trick to lead Tormenta FC to a 6-3 win against Peachtree City MOBA on July 3. He then scored a goal in a 2-0 victory against MOBA on Saturday.
M – Daniel Kirkland, San Francisco City FC: The University of San Francisco product netted a hat trick in San Francisco City’s 6-2 victory against the Orange County SC U23 on Sunday.
M – Pierre Villez, Western Mass Pioneers: The Drury University standout scored one goal and provided one assist in the Pioneers’ 3-0 victory against the Long Island Rough Riders on Friday.
M – Raphael Ohin, WSA Winnipeg: The Ghanaian talent scored a brace for Winnipeg to guide the club to its first win of the 2017 PDL regular season against the Saint Louis FC U23.
F – Jaret Townsend, Colorado Rapids U23: Townsend scored two goals in a win against the BYU Cougars on Thursday and recorded one goal and three assists in a victory against Albuquerque Sol F.C. on Saturday.
F – Ryosuke Kinoshita, FC Boulder U23: Kinoshito – who was named to Week 9’s PDL Team of the Week – scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against Albuquerque Sol F.C. on Thursday. He then scored a hat trick and provided one assist to lead the Boulder U23 to a 4-1 win against the BYU Cougars on Saturday.
F – Trey Langlois, SIMA Aguilas: The Clemson University talent helped the Aguilas clinch a spot in the 2017 PDL Playoffs by providing an assist in each of the club’s wins during Week 10.
