NCAA DI, DII, and NAIA: Thursday PDL Players Preview

A small slate of matches across NCAA DI, DII, and the NAIA ease us into the weekend madness on Thursday.

In NCAA DI action, UC Santa Barbara will look to keep a four-match winning streak intact when they face off against Cal State Northridge in Big West conference play. After beginning the season 0-4-2, the Gauchos have rallied behind Ocean City Nor'easters forward Ignacio Tellechea, who is tied for the team-lead in goals with four this season to go along with two assists.

In NCAA DII play, a trio of matches feature PDL Players to Watch. Leading the way are Cincinnati Dutch Lions midfielder Patrick Guier and Oklahoma City Energy U23 forward William Roberts, as the two have guided the University of Charleston to a perfect 10-0-0 start to the season. Roberts has notched four goals and two assists this year, while Guier has a team-leading five goals and one assist so far this season.

Two NAIA matches feature to close the midweek slate, with No. 3-ranked Rio Grande taking on Ohio Christian on display. Thunder Bay Chill defender Mitchell Osmond has produced not only on the defensive end, but the offensive as well with three goals on the year.

In total, 10 PDL players take the field across six matches on Thursday.

Kelvin Omondi, Ryan Williams and John Brown play Wayland Baptist at 8 p.m. ET (Stream)

Mitchell Osmond, Jorge Guinovart and Rio Grande play Ohio Christian at 7 p.m. ET
