Round two of NCAA Tournament action was filled with thrilling finishes and plenty of upsets.
No. 1 seed Wake Forest narrowly escaped a dangerous situation against Columbia. The Demon Deacons saw themselves to victory on an 89th minute goal from Carolina Dynamo forward Jon Bakero, escaping to the Round of 16. Elsewhere, Oklahoma City Energy U23 forward Julio Moncada's lone goal for UNC-Wilmington wasn't enough to overcome UNC-Chapel Hill, as Tobacco Road FC forward Alan Winn picked up an assist.
In Louisville, FC Tucson forward Tate Schmitt scored the third, game-winning goal for the Cardinals. Michigan State benefited from K-W United FC midfielder Ken Krolicki, who had three assists, and Chicago FC United forward Ryan Sierakowski, who scored one in a 3-0 rout.
