We’re down to the final four teams in the NAIA, with the semifinal and championship matches set for Friday and Saturday night.
Kicking off in the late afternoon on Friday is a contest between No. 1 Oklahoma Wesleyan, led by their PDL trio of Ocean City Nor'easters defender Nikola Fimic and forward Alexander Simovic, and Charlotte Eagles midfielder Jovan Petrovic, take on an upstart Wayland Baptist team that has already taken down two ranked opponents. The Eagles take their impressive 20-1-1 record into the penultimate match of the season, including four wins over top-25 opposition, but will need to stave off Wayland Baptist as they seek a third upset victory.
Later in the evening, the other semifinal takes place with No. 3 Missouri Valley taking on No. 10 Marymount (Ca.) at 6:30 p.m. ET. Marymount enters the match fresh off an upset of No. 2 William Carey in the quarterfinals in a five-goal thriller, while Missouri Valley easily handled No. 6 Mobile after previously defeating No. 7 Lindsey Wilson without conceding a goal in either match.
The winners of the two semifinal clashes will meet the following night, Dec. 2 at 6 p.m. ET to determine the NAIA National Champion.
