Over 75 percent of 2017 invitees boast PDL experience

Major League Soccer has unveiled its list of invites to the 2018 MLS Combine, occurring early next month in Orlando, Florida, including a stunning 46 PDL alums.

Leading the charge are a pair of highly-anticipated prospects, Jon Bakero of the Carolina Dynamo and Tomas Hilliard-Arce of the Burlingame Dragons. The two PDL Top Prospects are both finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy, awarded to the top player in NCAA DI men's soccer each year. Hilliard-Arce also led the Stanford Cardinal to its third straight NCAA Championship earlier in the month.

In total, over 75 percent of the 60 invitees boast PDL experience, with alums ranging from Bakero and Hilliard-Arce at annual powerhouse schools, to Long Island Rough Riders and Columbia forward Arthur Bosua and FC Tucson's Albert Ruiz after his season with Florida Gulf Coast.
