Four-time consecutive division champion makes fifth Open Cup appearance

FC Tucson, a historical PDL powerhouse that has won four straight division titles, returns to its fourth-consecutive Open Cup appearance in 2018.

Since the club’s debut in 2010, FC Tucson has consistently been a dominant force in the PDL’s Western Conference. The club has never posted a sub-.500 record, and after a second and fifth place finish in its first two seasons, has won four-straight divisional titles, three in the Mountain and one in the Southwest Division. The club has also made the playoffs five out of six years, and the last four running.

FC Tucson has also had success in participating in the Open Cup, having made the tournament four times previously, including the past three seasons. FC Tucson has advanced to the third round once, in 2013, and into the second round two other times. In 2013, FC Tucson defeated the professional San Antonio Scorpions, while the club downed at least one opponent in both 2016 and 2017.
