Miller, Syracuse earn massive win against No. 1 Wake Forest

A wild weekend across the college soccer landscape saw the No. 1-ranked Wake Forest Demon Deacons suffer their first loss of 2018, while a top Division II side continued its winning ways against a tough opponent.

Kamal Miller and Syracuse knocked off Wake Forest 2-0 at home to hand the top-ranked team in the nation its only defeat this season. The Orange improve to 5-4-1 on the season following their second consecutive win.

Meanwhile, Division II powerhouse Young Harris earned its 11th win of the season on Saturday, following an impressive 3-0 victory against Lander. Star striker Michael Rowe netted his 16th goal in 2018 for the Mountain Lions, which ranks second in DII.

Out in Colorado, Andre Shinyashiki added goals 20 and 21 on the year for his team, as the Denver star continues to set the pace for DI goalscorers.
